here is a rear view of my manikin. This is the first and second set of assigned muscles. The neck muscles were tricky to squeeze in the right spots. I also had trouble squeezing some of the muscles under the gluteus. the also have to consolidate the leg muscles to make them look like 1 flowing unit.

This is an image of my manikin. I have the back, legs and torso done in this image. This assignment can be frustrating some muscles are really easy to build and some are near impossible to find out where they go shape them and get them on. I had some trouble with the legs and getting them to look like one flowing group. with some instruction I was able to fix them.

This is my most successful drawing in life drawing. it has good proportions and I really like the line weight. i was very careful with my line weights. after my initial gesture drawing which was fast and loose. I slowed down to really concentrate on getting solid cross contour lines. I had a little trouble with foreshortening but it worked out with the image.

this is a long drawing around 2 hours. I am happy with parts of it. another problem i have is drawing way to small. this drawing was 1/4 of the page and that's being generous. it was hard to fit small details into such a small area. i feel if a drew this one bigger it would have been very successful.

This is a 1 and a half hour drawing. My biggest down fall is my lack of understanding of fore-shorting. This drawing has some good elements and i basic understanding of landmarks and use of cross-contour lines. the for-shorting is off by quite a bit. i did draw alot of line to try and figure it out. the figure is to narrow in some parts. however it was to this point my most successful long drawing.

this is a 1 minute gesture drawing. I really loosened up on this one and i got a good results. I has great movement and proportions are adequate. the arms are a little wonky. the verticals are nice, i really was happy with the spinal column, hips and legs. It is a good example of my progress in life drawing.

This is an earlier gesture, it is a 2 minute drawing. I like the movement of my lines. I am trying to exaggerate the feature and landmarks just to help my mind see them better. I am still working on drawing faster and looser. I can see my drawings improving when I do draw quick and loose. I am also utilizing some advice from my drawing 1 teacher who emphasized drawing through/past where it end, this gives me more consistent lines.
